"pcAnywhere is recieving an incoming connection request" on some host machines

After upgrading to or installing pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4 or pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7. the following message appears on the host: "pcAnywhere is receiving an incoming connection request"


Error



"pcAnywhere is recieving an incoming connection request. Your computer's ceretificate ID (thumprint) is: <CertID>"


Cause



This message is part of the new settings.


Solution



The setting 'Prompt when receiving an incoming TCP/IP connection request' can be disabled. If this message is recieved when no connectioin attempt is being made, there is another process/network activitiy that is tickling port 5631 This is a known behavior.
