This Maintenance Release provides an update to Symantec NetBackup (tm) Java for 64-bit Windows.
This Maintenance Release requires NetBackup Java 7.5 or higher be installed before applying.

I. DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

The following procedure explains how to download this Maintenance Release, which is an update to NetBackup/Media Manager
products with the latest fixes for Windows NetBackup servers.
Download instructions:
1) Download the NB_JAV_7.5.0.4.winnt.x64.exe file into a temporary directory.
2) Extract the NB_JAV_7.5.0.4.winnt.x64.exe by double-clicking on it.
This will create a number of files that include:
VrtsNB_JAV_7.5.0.4.x64.README
and
Setup.exe

II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
=============================
** The content of this online Readme supersedes the information in the Readme contained in the download. **
Installation steps:
1) Close all NetBackup Java Windows.
2) Run Setup.exe (Double-click on the icon from File Manager or Explorer or run it from the command prompt).
3) Examine the file:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Symantec\NetBackup\InstallLogs\
NetBackup Install.<date>.<identifying number>.htm
to ensure that no errors took place during the installation.
4) Remove the temporary directory created in the download instructions.
NOTE: If you are installing the Maintenance Release using the silent install script, please review the log:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Symantec\NetBackup\InstallLogs\*.htm
after the installation is finished, a reboot may be required to complete the installation of the Maintenance Release. A search of the
log for the key words "in use" indicates which files were busy during the installation.

III. UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
===========================
**Important notices regarding un-installs on Windows**
Only the last Maintenance Release installed on a Windows system can be un-installed.
If uninstalling NetBackup Java, uninstall all NetBackup Java Maintenance Releases first.
1) Close all NetBackup Java Windows.
2) Go to Add/Remove programs dialog box and select the correct Maintenance Release to be uninstalled.
