1 error(s) occurred while processing this job on the DPS.  Access to '\\ServerName\SharedFolder\ReportName.ext' is denied.


Solution



Change the service account of the Data Processing Service (DPS) from "Local System" to  a service account that has required access on all network machines. Follow these steps:

  1. Close the Control Compliance Suite Console.
  2. On the machine that hosts the DPS with the reporting role, click Start > Run and type services.msc, and then press ENTER.
  3. In the details pane, right-click the Symantec Data Processing Service, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Log On tab, and then to specify another account, click This account, click Browse, and then specify the service user account in the Select User dialog box.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Type the password for the user account in Password and in Confirm password, and then click OK.
  7. Restart the service and run the C-E-R job again.
