Issue

When attempting to add an Oracle Instance to AgentConfig for RALUS, validating credentials fails with "Failed to Login."  This will happen on any instance that you attempt to add on the server.

Error

Error in AgentConfig Debug Log:
ERR - /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so not loaded: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
Failed to logon to database, other error: Error code (0x1)

Cause

This error occurs when the incorrect version of the RALUS agent is installed on the Linux Server.  If the Linux server is a 64 bit server, then the 64 bit RALUS agent should be installed.

How to verify installed version of RALUS:

[root@servername ~]# cd /opt/VRTSralus/bin
[root@servername bin]# file beremote

Solution

Install the version of RALUS that matches the installed version Linux.
