Problem
When configuring a Data Collection Job, cannot see the list of assets in the template. Assets are listed in Manage Assets however.
Error
An error occurred in Data Collection activity: Unable to retrieve list of Assets from ADAM: No Assets were resolved from the directory, either due to insufficient permissions or an invalid job definition.

Cause
Value in Operating System Distribution Field set to an invalid value
Solution
1. Delete assets in R & A, correct the .csv file OSDF by changing the value from "5" to "AIX" or the correct OSDF and re-import or -
2. In Manage Assets, Highlight the asset and in the lower panel in the Asset Information tab correct the OSDF value (which was incorrect at a value of 5) to AIX or AIX eServer p5 or whatever is the correct value
This can be determined once the machine is registered to the RMS by running a query against the boxes with the following Fields
Machine Name
IP Addresses
Operating System
Operating System Distribution Field
Operating System Version
