How to import SQL Server Assets in Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Asset System using 'One Time Manual Entry' Asset Import job type.


Solution



Follow these steps to import SQL Assets by using "One time Manual Entry" Asset Import.

  1. Click on Manage on main page of Control Compliance Suite Console.
  2. Select Asset System and then select Import Assets.
  3. Please specify a Name to the Asset import Job.
  4. Select the appropriate information for the below fields to import a SQL Asset.
    • Asset Platform : SQL PLATFORM,
    • Asset Type : SQL Server,
    • Asset Source : ONE-TIME,MANUAL ENTRY JOB.
  5. Click on Next.
  6. Enter Details of the target asset. (Note: Please make sure that asset details entered are correct.)
    • Domain/workgroup name: Domain or Workgroup name of the target,
    • Asset name (instance): Machinename\Instancename,
    • Hostname: Machine name.
  7. Select the Check Box for Reconciliation rules before finishing.
  8. Click on Next.
  9. Click on Add Rules and select Predefined rules.
  10. Click on Add All and Click on OK.
  11. Click on Next  and verify the Details on Summary page.
  12. Click on Finish.

 
NOTE :

  • One-time, Manual entry job is a new feature added in Control Compliance Suite 10.5.
  • For SQL databases asset import, One time manual entry asset import job type is not supported.
