Quantum Dxi67xx unable to detect fibre attached Quantum Scaler tape library to use DirectCopy in Backup Exec 2012.

Problem
Attempting to attached via NDMP a Quantum Scaler tape library that's fibre connected to a Quantum Dxi67xx VTL fails with error stated below. Quantum Dxi67xx VTL is detected and operational. The VTL has been configured following guide lines notes 2 through 6 of Backup Exec 2012 HCL - www.symantec.com/docs/TECH175582
Error
"Unable to connect to the NDMP server, or to the remote computer that is configured as a Remote Media Agent, or to the remote computer that is configured for deduplication."
Cause
Quantum Dxi67xx is enabled.
Solution
Disable the Quantum Dxi6700 FW & IP segmentation so NDMP is able to make a control/detection connection of the Quantum Scaler tape library & use a Quantum created account in PTT not one created in AD. Long term solution, to update the firmware to 2.1.3 or newer.
