This document describes the products that can be removed by the Security Software Removal feature in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Release Update 2 (RU2).


Solution



The attached file lists the products that can be removed by the Security Software Removal feature. It includes the following information:

  • Product

  • Version

  • Supported languages
    In most cases, all languages are supported. Where noted, only English language operating systems are supported.

  • Supported platforms

  • Password-protected uninstall support
    This field indicates whether the removal feature can remove software that is protected by a password. A value of “–” indicates that the product does not have a password-protection feature.

  • Uninstall during scan
    This field indicates whether the removal feature will succeed if it is run while the security software is running a scan. A value of “–” indicates that the product does not run active scans.

  • Uninstall during update
    This field indicates whether the removal feature will succeed if it is run while the security software is updating content. A value of “–” indicates that the product does not run content updates.
