Issue



After installing the Blackberry webclip client, tapping its icon opens the default web browser and displays the following error message.


Error



"Unable to connect using the current security settings. Please contact your service provider."


Environment



This applies to version 3.0 and 3.1 of Nukona App Center.

RHEL/CentOS 5.5-5.8 64-bit.

Blackberry OS 5.0 - 7.0 with the SymNet web browser installed and set as the default web browser.


Cause



When SymNet is set as the default web browser for a Blackberry OS device, it disallows access to the Blackberry webclip client and the error "Unable to connect using the current security settings. Please contact your service provider" is displayed.


Solution



Ensure that the native web browser for Blackberry OS is set as default to access the Blackberry webclip client for Nukona App Center.
