Detection checks create false positive compliance if checking for a file version that is longer than the actual files version. Example:
If the file version is 22.214.171.124, then File Version EQUALS 126.96.36.199.2 detection check will have a compliant status.
ITMS 7.1 Sp2
The IRM Plugin specifically parses the received version string into the file version as it is supported by windows i.e. to be of four subversions:
major.minor.release.build. remaining is not taking into account.
This issue is tentatively scheduled to be addressed in the ITMS 7.5 release.
The current workaround is to make sure that the detection check for File Version does not exceed the length of the actual file version.
