Problem
One of a number of error messages appears when installing Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2 on Windows 2000.
Error
Any of the following messages can appear:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\SEP\Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Installer Information
Error 1723. There is a problem with the Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action DriverCheck, entry: DriverCheck, library: C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\MSI6E.tmp - Setup.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point HeapSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
- SsaWrapper.exe could not be executed.
Solution
