Synthetic Backups to disk inherit the incorrect disk retention settings.

Synthetic FULL backups to disk will take on a 1 Year disk retention and expiration after the backup is performed. The job maybe setup to key the backup or "Keep for" 2 days. In the Backup Set information the media display a expiration of exactly one year in the future (Figure 1).
This issue can cause a low disk condition as the media will not expire the disk media as expected.
