Description of problems
=======================
2641216:
Whilst processing sets of data which include large amounts of non-Enterprise Vault data stored on Centera partitions, the EVSVR utility infrequently shuts down unexpectedly.
2686359:
When pass-through recall is enabled for File System archiving to a Centera partition, files larger than 100MB are partially corrupted when recalled.
2720845:
A query is executed for each mailbox that is processed as part of an archiving run to list all the folders that have items that were recently deleted. This query can take a long time and cause archiving to fall behind.
2589278:
The October 2011 Critical Patch Update for Oracle Outside In Converters, which Enterprise Vault uses to convert data for storage, includes a fix for a security vulnerability in the Oracle Outside In Converters.
2661686:
Text files within certain compressed files were not converted due to the combination of conversion options used.
2664242:
The January 2012 Critical Patch Update for Oracle Outside In Converters, which Enterprise Vault uses to convert data for storage, includes a fix for security vulnerabilities in the Oracle Outside In Converters.
Due to the conversion options utilised within Enterprise Vault 9.0.3, customers are already largely protected against vulnerabilites of this nature, but the October 2011 and January 2012 patches will provide additional protection.

How to Install this hotfix:
1. Stop all Enterprise Vault services.
2. Once all services have stopped, take a backup copy of each file listed above in the "Files updated" section. These files are locatable within the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault", or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault" on a 64-bit machine).
3. Copy the files listed in the first section of the "Files updated" section (packaged in the Files\Converters folder of this hotfix) to the Enterprise Vault\Converters folder, replacing the originals.
4. Copy the files listed in the second section of the "Files updated" section, to the Enterprise Vault installation folder, replacing the originals.
5. Register the updated version of "StorageOnlineOpns.exe" by running the following from a command prompt:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault>StorageOnlineOpns.exe /regserver
6. OPTIONAL: To prevent the conversion of binary files in zipped files, the following DWORD registry entry should be created and set to 1:
On 64 bit versions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\DoNotConvertBinariesInZippedFiles
On 32 bit versions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\DoNotConvertBinariesInZippedFiles
7. Perform a backup of each Enterprise Vault SQL database in accordance with standard backup procedures.
8. Run "2720845.sql" against each Enterprise Vault Vaultstore database.
9. Start all Enterprise Vault services.
Note: If a new Vault Store is subsequently created, "2720845.sql" will need to be run against the corresponding Vaultstore database to apply the hotfix to that Vault Store.
How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1. Stop all Enterprise Vault services.
2. Once all services have stopped, replace the hotfixed files (listed in the "Files updated" section) with the backup copies taken during installation of this hotfix.
3. Register the original version of StorageOnlineOpns.exe by running the following from a command prompt:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault>StorageOnlineOpns.exe /regserver
4. OPTIONAL: Remove the "DoNotConvertBinariesInZippedFiles" registry entry if it was created during installation (or set it to 0).
5. Run "Undo_2720845.sql" against each Enterprise Vault Vaultstore database.
6. Start all Enterprise Vault services.
