Support statement of Low Latency Transport (LLT) over Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)
Applies to all UNIX platforms running Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) 5.1SP1 and above
Symantec engineering has confirmed the following support statement:
LLT works on top of Ethernet and UDP. Therefore LLT should work on any card that exposes the Ethernet interface and on any interface on which IP address can be configured. FCoE cards expose the Ethernet interface and an IP address can be configured on this interface.
1. Symantec has successfully tested LLT over Ethernet using FCoE cards.
2. Symantec expects LLT to work successfully over Ethernet using any FCoE card.
3. If there is a problem, you can use LLT over UDP and also contact Symantec Support for assistance in making the FCoE card work.
Please refer to VCS Administrator's Guide for complete procedure.
