How to Install this hotfix:

Preliminary Installation Instructions
=========================
1. Save the hotfix compressed file, "CA 9.0.4 Hotfix Etrack 2694814 - Unreviewed items older than 30 days.zip", and extract its contents to a resource that will be available to the SQL Server hosting the appropriate databases and Compliance Accelerator server(s) to which the hotfix will be applied.

2. Remove the '.SAFE' extension from all files that have it.

  • "AcceleratorRBO.dll.SAFE" becomes "AcceleratorRBO.dll"
  • "Apply_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql.SAFE" becomes "Apply_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql"
  • "Remove_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql.SAFE" becomes "Remove_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql"

3. Copy the extracted '.sql' files to the SQL Server(s) hosting the Compliance Accelerator (CA) customer databases to receive the hotfix.

4. Copy the '.dll' file to the CA server(s) to receive the hotfix.

Installation Instructions
=====================================================================================
*** On all workstations and servers that have the Compliance Accelerator (CA) Client open ***
1. Close all instances of the CA client.

*** On the Compliance Accelerator Server ***
2. Stop the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager Service (EVAMS).

*** On the SQL Server(s) hosting the CA customer database(s) that are to receive this hotfix ***
3. Take backup of each CA customer database that is to have this hotfix applied.
4. Run the sql file "Apply_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql" against each of the CA customer databases. This will update the effected Stored Procedures.

*** On the Compliance Accelerator Server ***
5. Rename or take a backup copy of the file "AcceleratorRBO.dll", located in the CA installation folder (which is by default "C:\Program Files \Enterprise Vault Business Accelerator" for 32-bit Windows OS, or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault Business Accelerator" for 64-bit Windows OS).
6. Copy the updated file "AcceleratorRBO.dll", packaged in this hotfix, to the CA installation folder, replacing the original.
7. Start EVAMS.

*** On all workstations and servers that have the Compliance Accelerator Client installed ***
8. Launch the CA client as needed.
 

Uninstallation instructions
=====================================================================================
*** On all workstations and servers that have the Compliance Accelerator (CA) Client open ***
1. Close all instances of the CA client.

*** On the Compliance Accelerator Server ***
2. Stop the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager Service (EVAMS).
3. Take the backed up copy of the file "AcceleratorRBO.dll" and replace the hotfixed file, located in the Compliance Accelerator installation folder (which is by default "C:\Program Files \Enterprise Vault Business Accelerator"for 32-bit Windows OS, or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault Business Accelerator" for 64-bit Windows OS).

*** On each SQL Server hosting a CA customer database that had this hotfix applied ***
4. Run the sql file "Remove_9_0_SP4_Compliance_Accelerator_Hotfix_2694814.sql" against each customer database. This will revert Hotfix changes.

*** On the Compliance Accelerator Server ***
5. Start EVAMS.

*** On all workstations and servers that have the Compliance Accelerator Client installed ***
6. Launch the CA client as needed.
