Problem
An error 0xe0009741 occurs during when restoring the individual items of VMware virtual machine with Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) from a differential or an incremental backup set on Backup Exec 2012. A restore job works successfully when restoring with GRT from the full backup set.
Error
0xe0009741 - Failed to mount one or more virtual disk images. Restores that use Granular Recovery Technology may not be available from this backup set.
Environment
Backup Exec 2012
Cause
Hotfix 180964 is not applied on Backup Exec 2012.
Solution
Please perform the full and differential or incremental backup after applying Hotfix 180964.
