Configuration upgrade utility for VERITAS Cluster Server (tm) 1.2.1 for Windows NT to VERITAS Cluster Server (tm) 2.0 for Windows 2000

Solution

The upgrade utility upgrades VERITAS Cluster Server 1.2.1 for Windows NT configuration files to be compatible with VERITAS Cluster Server 2.0 for Windows 2000. It imports the NT 1.2.1 configuration into the running W2K 2.0 clusters.

The utility expects the Cluster Server1.2.1 for Windows NT main.cf and types.cf as user input.

Prerequisites

Verify that Cluster Server 2.0 for Windows 2000 2.0 is installed
Verify that you have Administrator privileges on the system from where you run the utility
Verify that the Cluster Server engine, HAD, is running on the system from which you run the utility
Verify that Cluster Server Command Server is running on all systems in the cluster
Verify that you have the following information ready when the wizard prompts for it:

Path for configuration file of Cluster Server 1.2.1 for Windows NT: main.cf.
Mapping of system names from old configuration to current configuration
Mapping of adapter names from old configuration to current configuration

For additional information, view the readme file included with the upgrade utility.
