Solution

Workaround

Add the Version value to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install key in the registry on the file server.

1.  Go to Start | Run and type regedit then click OK

2.  Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install key.

3.  Right-click on the Install key and select New > String Value.

4.  Type the name Version and then Enter.

5.  Right-click on Version and select Modify.

6.  Under Value data: add the value seen in the PlaceHolderVersion entry in the same location.   For instance:  10.0.2.1112
