Symantec Endpoint Protection Product for Windows RT Platform

Problem
Is Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU2 (SEP 12.1 RU2) supported on Windows 8 RT? Is Symantec Mobile Security 7.2 (SMS 7.2) supported on this Windows RT platform?
Solution
Windows 8 support was introduced in SEP 12.1 RU2, but Windows 8 RT is a substantially different platform than Windows 8 Standard or Professional. Windows RT is not supported by this SEP 12.1 RU2 release.
SMS 7.2 and the legacy Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition 6.0.1 (SEPME 6.0.1) currently support Windows Mobile 5 through Windows Mobile 6.5, but do not currently support products based on Windows RT.
This document will be updated when a Symantec product release is available that is certified for the new Windows Surface and other products that use Windows RT.
