Issue

When editing an asset such as a computer, the Asset Status value is changed, such as to Retired. The Manufacturer or Cost Center fields are then changed too. The page refreshes, and the Asset Status reverts back to Active or its previous value.

Environment

Asset Management/CMDB Solution 7.1 SP2 MP1

Cause

Product defect, Etracks 3010381 and 3021924.

Solution

Thi issue is resolved in Asset Management Solution and CMDB Solution 7.1 SP2 v5 and higher and in 7.5.

The workaround for 7.1 SP2 MP1 with v4 or earlier is to save the asset's status change, then re-edit the resource. Changing fields that refresh the window will then not reset the status.
