Problem
PGP Desktop keeps too many sockets opened and blocks connection to server from Outlook
Error
Reached thread limit; there may be too many open connections
Socket select error: not a socket (-11092)
Receive error: not a socket (-11092)
Error closing client socket: 0x1F68
ProxyLib: connecting to server failed (error -11969)
Socket send error: connection not available (-11097)
POP proxy failed: not connected (-11969)
Solution
Exiting Outlook and re-launching Outlook would workaround this issue with affected versions of PGP Desktop.
This was a known issue and is resolved in PGP Desktop 10.2.1 MP5 (Build 5033) and above.
