Problem



 When collecting data from network shares the error "Windows ERROR:5; Access is denied" is seen.

 

Error



\\server1\shareA$\folderXX, Windows ERROR:5; Access is denied.

 


Solution



Firstly check that the NTFS / Share permissions for the collection account has read and write permissions to the location being collected.

Secondly check that the system time for the Clearwell appliance and the device providing the network shares have a time no more than 10 seconds apart.
