Unable to add a email address for alerts in Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.1 when the email domain contains a "-" (hyphen)

Issue



 You are attempting to set up alerts in Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.1. When you add and email address such as user@a-domain.local, you get an error saying the address is invalid.


Error



 Invalid Email Address when attempting to apply or save the user address. 


Environment



  • SPE 7.0.0
  • SPE 7.0.1
  • SPE 7.0.2

Solution



The issue has been addressed with SPE 7.5.0.34.
