Unable to add a email address for alerts in Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.1 when the email domain contains a "-" (hyphen)

Problem



 You are attempting to set up alerts in Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.1. When you add and email address like user@a-domain.local


Error



 Invalid Email Address when attempting to apply or save the user address. 


Solution



 This issue has been confirmed as an issue in Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.1.   The issue is expected to be corrected in a future build of the product.  Please monitor this Document and/or the release notes of future builds to know when the issue has been resolve
