Monthly Duplicate jobs are duplicating multiple Weekly Fulls and Daily Incremental sets even when the option is set to duplicate 'Recent Full'

Problem
If the backups are set as per the following steps issue is seen where Monthly Duplicate jobs are duplicating multiple Weekly Fulls and Daily Incremental sets even when the option is set to duplicate "Recent Full"
1. Weekly FULL and daily jobs set to backup to the MMS (Managed Media Server) Deduplication Storage and then immediately followed by their linked duplicate jobs to the CAS (Central Administration Server) deduplication Storage
2. Daily Incremental jobs set to backup to the MMS deduplication storage and then immediately followed by their linked duplicate jobs to the CAS deduplication storage
3. In this same backup policy a SCHEDULED Monhtly duplicate backup which runs only on 1st Sat/Sun/Mon of a month and its target device is tape which is attached to the MMS server. Recent Full is the source for this duplicate job.
What is being observed is that the Monthly Duplicate jobs are duplicating multiple Weekly Fulls and Daily Incremental sets even when the option is set to duplicate 'Recent Full'
Environment
Backup Exec 2012 CAS, MMS setup with deduplication storage folder setup on each. CAS is on the DR site and MMS on the production site. The MMS server also has a local tape library attached to it.
Solution
Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.
This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software. However, this particular issue is not currently scheduled for any release.
