The boot option does not work when push-installing the Remote Agent using the command line.


When executing the following command from a Windows command prompt, the remove server is not rebooted automatically after the push-installation.

SETUP.exe /PUSHRAWS: /USER: <__USER_NAME__> /PASS: <__PASSWORD__> /SVR: <__SERVER_NAME__> -boot -s


Solution



A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.

 

Backup Exec 2012 Rev 1798 Service Pack 3 (TECH205351).

 

Note that the Backup Exec 2012 SP3 embedded installation media is needed to resolve the issue.  Please download the media via http://fileconnect.symantec.com.
