Browsing for files to restore from NDMP backup image just displays hour glass

Issue



After upgrading from NetBackup 7.1.0.x to NetBackup 7.5.0.x when attempting to browse for single files to restore from NDMP backup images created prior to and after the upgrade it just sits at a spinning hourglass.

This happens after setting the browse directory.  The first level of directories populates in the browse directory pane but nothing ever populates the directory structure pane on the right.

Clicking on the "Task Progress" tab stops the hourglass, but the directory structure pane is still empty. Clicking on anything in the browse directory pane causes another hourglass.

Restores from standard UNIX policy types browse without this issue.

None reported.


Environment



NetBackup 7.5.0.4 using remote NetBackup Java Administration Console.


Cause



Version mismatch between NetBackup master server (7.5.0.4) and NetBackup Java Administration console (7.5 GA).  After upgrading the java console to the same version as the NetBackup master server the browse directory and the directory struction panes fully populate and files can be seen and selected for restore.


Solution



Upgrade the remote NetBackup java console to match the version of NetBackup on the NetBackup master server.
