Problem
Backup Exec redirected restore of a virtual machine fails but restores back to the original machine are successful.

Final error: 0xe00095ab - The operation failed because the virtual center or ESX server was passed the name of an object that could not be found.

Solution
The most common causes of VMWare restore failures are permissions and licenses. See the related articles listed at the bottom of this article to ensure the proper permissions and licenses are available.
This error is also known to occur if the configuration of the destination VM is too dissimilar to the original VM.
As a workaround, redirect the restore to a folder and then attach the virtual machine after converting it using the VmWare converter.
