Problem
How to determine the backup protection status of the remote computers, that are backed up with Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) or Symantec System Recovery (SSR)?
Environment
The following Microsoft Windows 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems are supported:
- Microsoft Windows XP (All Editions)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or R2
- Microsoft Windows Vista (All Editions)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or R2
- Microsoft Windows 7 (All Editions)
- Microsoft Windows 8 (Desktop Edition)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012
The minimum system requirements to run the Symantec System Recovery 2013 Monitor application:
- An installation disk space of 25 MB.
- Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0

Solution
Symantec System Recovery 2013 Monitor is an extremely simple, standalone, lightweight, and easy to use monitoring application. Symantec System Recovery 2013 Monitor helps you determine the backup protection status of the remote computers that you backed up using Symantec System Recovery (SSR) 2013, or Symantec System Recovery (SSR) 2011 (Service Pack 3), or Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) 9.0.5.
The Symantec System Recovery application was formerly known as Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR). Monitoring the remote computers ensures that you can recover lost data.
You can download the Symantec System Recovery 2013 Monitor application from the attachment section, and install it on your remote computer.
