Issue



The exchange 2010 GRT restore of entire contact folder containing English and Hebrew contacts completes successfully but no contacts are shown in the target mailbox.
If the restore is ran by only selecting a English contacts then the contact items in English language can be seen in the restored mailbox. If the restore is ran by only selecting a Hebrew contacts then the contact items in Hebrew language can be seen in the restored mailbox. But the restored English and the Hebrew contacts are not listed in the the alphabetical order in outlook for this restored mailbox.


Environment



BE 2012 SP1a on windows 2011 SBS server with Hebrew local.

Exchange 2010.


Solution



WORKAROUND:
Restore the exchange Database to Recovery Database and then export the contacts from it using the pst file.
