Problem
You are receiving warnings for user names containing non-ASCII characters in the Logs.
Error
'nonstandard use of \\ in a string literal'
Environment
PGP Universal Server, Symantec Encryption Server
Cause
This warning is caused by the database due to a change regarding how escape sequences are handled by default in the database. The data itself is not affected or in danger.
Solution
Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.
