Symantec Critical System Protection causes AIX 6.1 TL8 systems to reboot.

Problem
When a system running AIX 6.1 TL7 and Symantec Critical System Protection 5.2.9 is upgraded to TL8, the IPS driver causes the system to crash.
Cause
SCSP 5.2.9 does not currently support AIX 6.1 TL8.
Solution
Symantec is currently investigating this issue. For the moment, it is recommended that the IPS driver is disabled on AIX 6.1 TL8 systems.
