Bengine.exe service crashes when running a Lotus Domino database PIT (Point In Time) restore.


Error



Event log shows the error

Application Error 1000 
Description
Faulting application name: bengine.exe, version: 13.0.5204.126, time stamp: 0x4f6b395e
Faulting module name: bengine.exe, version: 13.0.5204.126, time stamp: 0x4f6b395e
Exception code: 0xc0000005


Solution



Workaround:

Disable Fast File Restore option and then run the PIT restore. To disable Fast File Restore follow the steps mentioned in the following document
