Technical Solution


Issue



1) Install Asset and SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1 Rollup V3 on ITMS 7.1 SP2 to ITMS 7.1 SP2 to SMP MP1.1 Upgrade setup.
2) On NS Console, go to 'Manage|Asset|Procurement' and Open Invoice page.
3) On Invoice page click on ''Add existing' option to add Line Items.
4) Select any of the recieving item and click on 'Show Line Items' and select multipple line items using 'Shift' button and click on 'OK' button.

Actual:
Observed that Error message appears after selecting multiple line items using 'Shift' button and user is not able to add line items on Invoice Page.But this error message does not appear if we select multiple line items using 'ctrl' button and line items get successfully added on Invoice Page.


Expected:
Error message should not appear after selecting multiple line items using 'Shift' button using 'Add existing' button on Invoice Page and User should be able to add line items on Invoice Page.

Note:
1)Same behavior is observed on Purchase Order page.

Cause



Known issue. Regression.


Solution



This issue has been reported to our Symantec Development team. A fix will be provided in a later release (tentatively in ITMS 7.5)

The current workaround:
Control (Ctrl) button can be used instead of Shift button.
