Schedule Synchronization won't run for Journal Archiving while manual synchronization runs without issues.

No errors reported. Enterprise Vault just ignore the Synchronize schedule for Journal Archiving.

Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange.

Journal Archiving only.

Any schedule Synchronization need provisioning for the same Exchange server, regardless the synchronization is for Mailbox archiving or Journal Archiving. In an Enterprise Vault environment where only Journal Archiving(s) is/are implemented, provisioning may not be executed because Symantec's documentation explains provisioning is required for Mailbox Archiving only, thus the schedule Synchronization for Journal Archiving will not work.

Run provisioning for the Exchange server. At least one mailbox from the same Exchange server must be propagated in ExchangeMailboxEntry table in EnterpriseVaultDirectory database.

Supplemental Materials

Journal archiving requires a provisioning run to take place before processing occurs
