Problem
Mobile Library items fails to download providing an item link with "HTTP" instead of "HTTPS"
Error
Failed to download Mobile Library item.
Environment
Symantec Mobile Management 7.2 SP2
Reverse Proxy in use.
Cause
The reverse Proxy is configured to use "HTTP" traffic not "HTTPS" causing the MDM ss to provide non SSL links where "http" port was blocked.
Solution
- The best solution is to enable "SSL" "HTTPS" traffic from the reverse proxy to the MDM ss and NS
OR
- Add the external url (in format "https://name.doman.extension") to the "OverrideExternalURL" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Mobile Management\iosServices\web.config"
