Issue



Clients repeatedly send full.zip download requests to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM). SEPM receives multiple requests for the same content from the same client. The requests' interval is quite short, and will last infinitely until the client receives a HTTP response. SEPM responds with status 200/206, but before it sends the complete content body to the client, the connection aborts.


Error



Sylink log: 

The following line appears repeatedly in the Sylink logs:

@@@@@@@@@ LU DEBUG ONLY- Download file failed due to wrong file size. FileName: ... Expected file size: ...

IIS Debug logs show multiple requests from the same clients to download full.zip from SEPM. 


Solution



This problem is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 RU7. To download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection, read the article Obtaining the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec Network Access Control.
