Issue

A blank page appears when you click the Job Status link (such as Failed) on the Backup Job History page.

Cause

Backup Exec has not created a job log at the following location:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data\

Hence, when you click the Job Status link (Such as Failed) on the Backup Job History page in the Backup Exec Management Plug-in for Kaseya (BEMPK) application,  the BEMPK data collector creates an empty job log, sends it to the Kaseya server, and a blank page appears.

A blank page appears when you click the Job Status link (such as Failed) on the Backup Job History page.

Solution

How to gather summary about the Backup Exec job log

  1. Verify if Backup Exec has generated the job log at the following location:

    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data\

  2. Stop all Backup Exec services and then restart them.
  3. Rerun the Backup Exec job.
  4. Run the Gather Backup Exec Summary agent procedure to get summary information about the status of your active alerts, backup jobs, and storage devices.
