Problem
Autoloaders need to use the front panel to add/eject cartridges, the add/eject media option in Veritas NetBackup (tm) does not function.
Solution
Veritas NetBackup (tm) does not recognize the insert/eject port on these libraries, as it does not function as a true media access port that can hold a tape cartridge. This is true for all carousel style autoloaders from ADIC, BDT, Dell, Exabyte, Quantum, HP, IBM, Sony or Sun. NetBackup injects and ejects will not function with these devices.
If a tape is added/ejected via the cartridge port, or inserted into a magazine by using the autoloader's front panel commands, it is recommended that an Inventory Robot operation be completed afterwards.
