Synthetic Incremental backup jobs may run as full backups with the same byte count as the Synthetic or Full Synthetic baseline job.
The incremental job log reports The Windows Change Journal is unavailable or incomplete.
Failed to load journal for path Error: The parameter is incorrect.
The Windows Change Journal is unavailable or incomplete. This resource will be backed up without using the Windows Change Journal
Backup Exec 2012
Backup Exec Remote Agent Debug error:
- Found change in hardlink metadata or reparse point.
- Failed to load journal for path X: error: The parameter is incorrect.
- Journal not loaded, falling back to first pass of regular catalog driven backup

Backup Exec 2012 Rev 1798 Hotfix 213186 (TECH213186)
NOTE: After apply the hotfix the Backup Exec Remote agent must be updated on remote server where the Synthetic Backups are being performed.
New FULL Baseline Synthetic Backups must be performed.
