Backup Exec Remote Agent crashes on vmwaretools.dll when backing up VMware virtual machines

Technical Solution



The Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems service (beremote.exe) on a media server crashes on vmwaretools.dll when backing up a VMware virtual machine using the Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI). The following error is reported in the Application Event Log when the process crashes.
