Issue

After upgrading a Backup Exec media server and the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Linux or UNIX Servers (Remote Agent) or the Backup Exec Remote Media Agent for Linux Servers (Remote Media Agent), backup jobs do not complete. The backup jobs remain in the “Queued” job state indefinitely.

Solution

The Backup Exec services must be restarted after updating either the Remote Agent or the Remote Media Agent. Restart the Backup Exec services and attempt the backup job again.

Refer to the Symantec Backup Exec Administrator's Guide for more information about starting and stopping Backup Exec services.
