Issue



Unable to perform GRT restore of individual mailbox from a Exchange 2007 GRT backup Set.

 


Error



Error in Job Log :

Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource.  Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.  If the server or resource no longer exists, remove it from the selection list. Edit the selection list properties, click the View Selection Details tab, and then remove the resource

Exchange 2007 on Windows 2003 x64 Bit


Cause



This issue can come up if Outlook 2010 is installed on Exchange Server


Solution



1) Uninstall Outlook and MAPI CDO from Exchange.

2) Reboot the Exchange Server

3) Install MAPI CDO from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1004

4) Reboot the Exchange server
