Full and Differential System State Backup going to disk followed by duplicate to tape.
Duplicate backup to tape of differential disk backup will fail with error mentioned below if retention of differential backup to disk is set in a way that the first backup set has already expired and deleted by DLM.

Error

Completed status: Canceled
The job was canceled because the response to a media request alert was Cancel, or because the alert was configured to automatically respond with Cancel, or because the Backup Exec Job Engine service was stopped.

Solution

This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2014 or later versions.
