Known Issues with AIX, HP-UX and
Solaris:
1. When applying patch 3.2.1-001 on a Bare Metal
Restore server
before bmrsetupserver has been executed, the
message:
"Could not restart BMR server daemon."
will be displayed. This is an erroneous error message
in
this situation and the application of the patch was
successful.
2. After 3.2.1-001 has been applied on Solaris BMR
servers, a
message may be logged in /var/bmr/log/bmrd.err
indicating
libucb.so could not be found. This error is a result of
a BMR
packaging prerequisite and not associated with patch
3.2.1-001.
Installation of package SUNWscpu onto the Solaris
machine will
resolve the error.
3. The following steps will need to be applied to HP-UX
systems with
non-root volume groups following a restore to import
and activate
the non-root volume groups:
a. /usr/bin/mv /etc/lvmtab
/etc/lvmtab.bak
b. /sbin/vgscan -v
c. For each non-root volume group:
/sbin/vgimport -v /dev/<vg_name>
/dev/dsk/<dsk_name>
d. /sbin/vgchange -a y
e. Mount all missing filesystems using /usr/sbin/mount,
or reboot
the system.
