In OpsCenter, some job data may not be collected during the initial sync phase of NetBackup job data collection.

This initial sync phase starts after restarting (or disabling and then re-enabling) data collection from a NetBackup master server.

When collection of data is missed, it may result in inaccurate reporting in OpsCenter.


This issue affects the following products:

  • NetBackup OpsCenter 7.0 through
  • NetBackup OpsCenter 7.5 through

Note: It has been determined that this issue does not affect any release in the OpsCenter 7.6.0.x line.


The formal resolution for this issue (Etrack 3286282) is included in the following releases:

NetBackup is now available - more information and download links can be found in the Related Article linked below.

In future versions, there is a change in the behavior of how nbsl communicates with the OpsCenter server such that if there is a break in communication, the data collectors will resync to the correct point in time to ensure that no job data is missed.
