When performing a Hyper-V agent backup of a Virtual machine located on a WIndows 2012 R2 Hyper-v host the Backup Exec Remote agent crashes on the Hyper-v host.

Platform Windows Server 2012 R2 DataCenter 64Bit (Guest)




 Windows Server 2012 R2 is currently not supported in Backup Exec 2012.




Run backups of Virtual Server as a physical using Remote Agent for Windows.


Windows 2012 R2 will be supported in a future Version and or Service pack of Backup Exec.
