SQL log files of SharePoint databases are not deleted by DLM

When getting backups of a SharePoint server using Granular Recovery Technology (GRT), the SQL transaction log files of the content databases (E.G. WSS_Content_log.LDF) are not deleted by Data Lifecycle Management (DLM.)
Because Backup Exec Remote Agent on the BE server keeps opening the log file for GRT, DLM cannot delete the log file.
This issue is not observed in Backup Exec 2012 SP2 or later.
