After installing Backup Exec 2012 SP3, maintenance licenses are not being displayed correctly on the home page

A review of the home page of the Backup Exec 2012 Administrator's console can show incorrect infomation relating to the timing and expiry of Maintenance Contracts.
This problem appears to have been introduced with Service Pack 3 for backup Exec 2012 and does not affect the ability of Backup Exec to perform backup and restore operations.
No maintenance contracts found.
Maintenance Contracts have expired.
