Issue



When attempting to manually duplicate a backup set that contains a Hyper-V backup the duplicate job may fail with the errors below.  This issue does not effect scheduled and linked duplicate backups.


Error



Job Log:
Final error: 0xe0009444 - The requested source duplicate backup sets catalog record could not be found.  Perhaps the media containing the source backup sets was previously deleted.

Verify
Unable to determine ADAMM media identification.  Catalog query failed.

A debug log will show the following error:
Error: SetCopyDstMessageHandler encountered an unexpected message: class eng_msgs::c_bytes_processed


Solution



Workaround: Use scheduled or linked duplicate jobs
